Was recommended this pub to visit but what a let down. I went on two successive fridays and each time our beer was warm and not a full pint. On requesting to be topped up we got a filthy look from the lady -assistant or manager?- behind the bar. Well disappointed from a pub usually well recommended!

Usually have 3 real ales on at prices similar to the 2 Wetherspoons pubs opposite and in far better condition

I Have to disagree with the lager bar comment as when visited in November I had a very nice pint of Spire Brewery "As Good As It Gets" and @ just 1.39 A PINT!!! Comfortable and Cheap, S&L are definately on the up i have noticed over the past couple of years, 8/10

Rob sums it up.

It's expensive, overpriced and rammed at weekends. Food is crap and extortionate.

One to miss...

It's the usual large lager barn. This one's a bit smarter than most and has several distinct areas rather than just one large room. It's overpriced as usual and has quite a high dipstick level. You could go in pretty much any pub or bar round here, except Walkabout and find yourself in a better place.
