Superior Wetherspoons, but cannot hope to compete with the best of the other well established real ale pubs never much more than a ten minutes walk away in any direction. Best approached as a quick stop on a crawl, preferably early evening.

This is branded as Lloyds No.1 bar and it' the first time I have ever seen two Wetherspoons outlets directly next door to each other! Had a good drop of Slater's Haka NZ hopped beer. That's it reallly!

Not as cr*p as others - but don't go for the beer, or the food actually. Spoons but 50p more - ? Why would you go?

Quieter JDW than its immediate neighbour next door. Good choice of ales as you'd expect and a less chavvie clientele. Easier to get served and toilets actually on the ground floor which is a bonus for a JDW pub!

The Thomas Leaper is one of the cleanest pubs we have been in. The food is usually very good and the Benchmark red wine one of the best. You in Derby should be proud of this establishment because we travel from our grotty pubs in Nottingham to visit our Favourite on regular occasions.

However we now have the T. B I. at Trent Bridge which is in a class of its own but we are having to pay extra for the privilege. so as well as this we will still be travelling by Red Arrow to visit you. Ronaldo.
