| Large and complex 'Spoon, which completely surrounds the Park Tavern pub next door. Seating is on several levels, and there are various nooks and crannies, with a range of seating options. Good mix of customers - young, middle aged and old, with families and couple, mothers and daughters, friends sharing a drink. Nice, laid back atmosphere, and the place clean, well kept, and with the appearance of being recently refurbished. Has something of a cocktail bar or nightclub about it. | A bit of a rabbit warren of a place going back fro the pub frontage rather than the the usual Spoons style of single large room, so a variety of seating styles in this pretty well kept establishment. Only six handpumps so that limits the choice of unusual beers here somewhat once you take into account the inevitable one(s) not ready yet and those that are boring bog standards that don't excite the eyesight or palate. | A spacious and well laid out Wetherspoons. Varying real ales on the handle with all the usual curry and drink offers all at low prices. May call in again later for another organised farewell drink, it's the place to go for a large gathering too. Feed - 4 Mar 2010 21:11 |
