user reviews of the Equator, Birmingham

This is lovely bar. It has a relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. I often pop in at lunch time if I'm working in the area.

Furnished with comfy sofas and bar stools. The bar is a small 1 roo affair and I should imagine gets busy in the evening.
I always look forward to visiting this bar.

I have been visiting Equator Bar for many many years now, I can honestly say when i go back to visit Birmingham I always pop in as you always get a good pint and fantastic food in this attitude free environment. The staff are so friendly and always smiling and the place has a fantastic captain at the helm. The toilets are immaculate. The customers are so relaxed and friendly that you can go in on your own and leave having made many new friends. This place is most certainly the Jewel in the crown of Hurst Street and well worth a visit as it puts many bars in the CITY let alone the area to shame.Highly recommended.

Pleasant pub on a Sunday afternoon- slightly older crowd.

Gay bar with no real ale but you might get a bottle of Old Speckled Hen. Relaxed with a slightly older clientele than some bars in the area. Tries to compete with the style bars but should really just keep it simple, it's small and great for meeting up. Now does a small range of food.
