please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I'd agree with Mattyboy on this one. Having spoken with the one of the directors of the brewery which supplies the place, the reason it's not open in the day is due to it being sandwiched between 2 Probation offices and during the day as many of the offenders linger outside, and no doubt would enter the pub, also next to one of the probation offices is an agency dealing with alcoholics.
I can see why they stay shut until the evening!

Not sure the other reviews here meant this pub or the nearby Old Fox. The main point to note is this is primarily a lesbian pub although straight women and men (straight or gay) are very welcome. No real ale but the staff are really friendly and there's usually a good atmosphere, especially on a Saturday night. Really nice beer garden. Big minus is no separate mens toilets - all are available for the girls.

Nothing special but nothing overly bad either. The staff were efficiant while not being particually friendly nor noticably offish. If you're in the area you could do a lot worse than go here, but with a couple of minutes walking could do so much better.

As a pub I don't really like it, but I have to agree with other comments on here that the staff are very friendly, friendlier than a lot of pubs in that area

A relic of what Birmingham used to be - dirty, grotty and slightly dodgy - but perversely appealing and suprisingly friendly. A drinkers' pub - students and lightweights need not apply.
