Oh dear.... I think the reviewer who said it was a dive was being kind. My other half said his pint of beer was good. I didn't stop long enough to find out.

The beer might have made 'The Good Beer Guide', but the pub itself will never make a good pub guide.

Went looking for this pub following a visit to the Loughborough Beer festival and must admit I was disappointed. There was nothing wrong with the beer and I had Highgate Lone Wolf, M & B Mild and Downton Quadhop, but I was glad to get out. The loud music on the screen didn't do anything for us as a group trying to have a conversation. The quieter part of the room at the other side of the bar was full and smokey.

It's a fecking dive!! Where are the other 2 reviewees looking? Been here on countless occasions and someone seriously needs to break in and decorate, get rid of the neanderthals that frequent the place, then burn it.

Wonderful community pub - standard Midlands beer range but top quality Bass; very busy with quiz nights & football. Looks like an estate pub from outside but inside very characterful.
