| Having read about this pub, I'd imagined a restaurant that served a couple of ales, rather than a pub that does food. Whilst it has clearly won admirers for its seafood, it still has the look and feel of a pub and it had 4 ales - Adnams Bitter & Ghost Ship & Greene King IPA & Abbot. There are outdoor drinking areas at both the front and rear. The etched windows at the front point to a day when the bar area was divided. | Together with friends, the wife and myself had a terrific meal on friday evening last, a young team at front of house, pleasant welcome, proper customer service, (Not as common as it could / should be), the meals, we all agreed, were superb, the beer was excellent and the service was faultless despite a very busy restaurant, highly recommended. | I'll leave all the journalistic blurb to the previous contributor. Hoewver it is safe to say that I concur with it all. I would like to go one step further though by saying the restaurant has to be the best value and consistantly superb restaraunt I've ever been to.(Depends what you have of course, but expect �15 - �25 each) It has never dissapointed me. johnjory - 18 Jan 2007 18:39 |
