The Cock was the first of three pubs visited in Baldock on Saturday evening. It has a bar and a lounge with two separate entrance doors. Although inside, they merge into one where they meet at the bar. As with Snarling Mallard's review, I didn't find the beer range too inspiring. Morland Old Speckled Hen was joined by Greene King IPA & XX Mild & Robinson's Unicorn. A little disappointing.

fairly disappointed with this one - it looks and feels the part as few proper pubs are left in this town but only a Sharps brew apart from the GK offerings and it wasn't that great a pint.

Had a good old traditional pub night, nice Ales and some good laughs at The Cock. Friendly crowd too. Had a good week in baldock.

While on a work visit, took a walk down Baldock High street and popped into The Cock Pub for a pint and was pleasantly greeted with a friendly welcome from the Landlady and staff.

Great atmosphere and lovely pub surroundings. Tried the IPA and found it to be excellent. Supped some Ale at the bar with some of the locals and staff, who had time to chat! Lovely pub, old traditional setting too. Liked the IPA, The St Peter's Best Bitter was great too.

Beers and Guest Ales were tip top, definitely worth a visit or three!
My quick visit turned into a long visit!

Well, back in sunny Baldock yet again. Nice going for a drink around town centre.
Some very nice Ales at The Cock Pub, Ale Fresco pretty nice and very tasty Reverend James, then off for a few more pints up road and a lovely curry!
Still a lovely unpretentious pub with great atmosphere and staff...
