The pub is now closed, about to become a chemist

Very disappointed with the service at this pub. Went with a group of friends and from the moment we entered we felt like we were not welcome. Staff were very rude and we were told to 'get out' simply because we left an empty can on the table. Under 20's clearly not welcome.

this pub has just been taken over by a new landlord. It is clean and has lots of promise to becoming one of the top places in Truro to eat and enjoy a lovely chilled pint with friends and good company. A beautiful building inside and out. I will be using it as my local from now on!!! well done to the new guy!!

The Globe has been taken over by new people at long last! All the undesirables have been booted out, its had a dam good clean up and its looking good!
The staff are friendly and nice. They have got a new chef who can realky cook, the chips are proper chips home made and the desserts he also makes himself and are to die for - the lemon tart is amazing!!
They are trying to get it back as a music pub, with lots of live music, Thursday is jazz night, Friday is band night and saturday night theyb ahve a resident Dj once amonth - its new idea!!
loadsa sofas to doss on and chill. Good selection of drinks inc cocktails and shooters!
well worth having alook!!!!

Really gone downhill. Lets people drink here who've been barred everywhere else and it shows. Really sad - used to be a great buzz, brewery took out Sky sports, got rid of the proper chef and now it's hard going for the landlord who is a nice guy and deserves better.

Used to be a really good pub - visited Aug 2007 and even thiugh 1:30 on a Saturday, there was just us 3 and 8 Cornish Chavs - complete with the foul language and anti-social behaviour. No wonder no-one goes in - bar staff seemed to both tolerate and encourage them - will not be going back until management and hopefully clientele changes.

Oh how the mighty have fallen - this was a wonderful place with lots of character but that seems to have evaporated. A change of management hasn't improved it. Something seems to be missing from the place. This isn't a terrible pub by any means - it just isn't really worth a visit when there is a better selection nearby.

this is a great pub, and probably the best hidden secret of Truro, the beer is wonderful and the food excellent. If you are in truro go there for lunch or the evening you will not be diappointed

This is probably the least-bad pub in Truro. Most people think it's not as good as it used to be a few years ago. This does mean you're more likely to get a table though.

It does usually have Skinners on tap which is good.
