To Croydonpeer, visited again in January 2022, and The Hood was better... more people in and felt cosier.. St.Austell Proper job and Tribute, so decent beer.. The pooch wasn't with us as we'd booked a table at The Bank Indian on Church street, but any pub in Norfolk that isn't dog friendly, shame on you.... This county, more than any is so rural, dogs have to be included.. Not sure the Hood shows Football, but our dog would definitely bark if Leicester city weren't winning!!!!!

Even though your animal may be hygienic and midget like, even talented - rules at the excellent Hood must be adhered to.

Many pubs insist - quite rightly, I think - that only paying human customers be allowed to enter their establishments.

As animals are unaware that their hairs often detach - and they have a natural tendency to slobber, as well as barking during football matches.

Didn't feel comfortable... Even though our dog 🐶 is the smallest, cleanest canine ever (Miniture schnauzer) cleaner than most humans, the barman felt the need to instruct us she couldn't venture onto carpeted areas.. Had one drink and left.. Try The Lobster...

Very expensive for a small Norfolk seaside town, Greene King Abbot 3.60 a pint, they are having a laugh, no wonder the pub was empty on a very sunny day, the Lobster down the road was heaving.

Went there in the week while working away in Norfolk .... well what can i say the
Land Lady who thinks she is BET LINCH of the Pub trade was rude and the way she talks to her staff i am very surprised that they work for her.
The men that were in the public bar must live in the town and seem to be a great bunch but how they put up with her is beyond me.The bar staff on the other hand are great very friendly and on the ball, the young man you was behind the bar is professional so what ever he is being paid to work for her is NOT ENOUGH.

I have been in this pub many times for food and drink over the years, the food is nice and the beer garden is great on a summers day. It is a really nice pub although the blonde land lady who is 45+ is very strange and unwelcoming. Not at all nice or polite but looks at you as if you were something off of the bottom of her shoe. I'm unsure if it is just females she is like this with as only female friends and family have noticed the same and remarked on her terrible attitude. It is a shame as it is a really nice pub and the winter meal deal 2 for 9 is great for what you get and it has a lovely play area to keep children amused whilst waiting for lunch.

Nice pub but when we visited on 18th September they had ran out of all the real ales! Only John Smiths bitter on sale - they need to get their ordering under control!

The best pub in Sheringham. But, believe me there is not a lot of competition. Locals and visitor use this pub. The decor consists of old slot and vending machines and other talking points. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff charming. The real ale is limited but always, in my experience, well kept . Well above average pub food. If you find yourself in Sheringham and in need of a beer - this is the place to make for.

Interesting pub full of bric-a-brac. Ale was well-kept but unfortunately the 'choice' was GK-restricted. That said the IPA was in good form.

On the main street from the station to the front. A GK house of two halves, the one I was in had old vending machines and assorted slot machines around. Only GK ales on (not sure if it's usual or whether the Morris Dancing fraternity had guzzled any guest beers) though the Old Speckled hen I had was reasonable enough. Has an outside patio/conservatory area which puts me in mind of some small town bus station waiting area. Pleasant enough and handy for the station.

Visited one hot sunny afternoon in June for a quick couple of pints.Staff friendly and helpful. They Switched on the world cup for me.A good pub for such games if you don't want all the England flag waving nonsense with just a few other patrons in ( The landlady is a self-mocking Scot who doesn't like footie)
interesting interior.good beer garden.
my favourite pub in sheringham. For a tourist spot,Sheringhams pubs are a liitle disappointing.

I am so pleased to see this pub is now listed. We had a holiday in Sheringham last September and unfortunately only found this pub half way through the week. This is the best pub in Sheringham by a country mile, we had superb food and service, the quiz night was brilliant, run by the landlady. If we visit Sheringham again we will only use this pub, forget the others, wish we had this pub in our town.

Visited this pub at lunchtime today whilst waiting for a train. I found a pleasant bar full of old fruit machines and various ephemera. I was served quickly and found the staff to be pleasant and attentive. I had a pint of Greene King IPA but they had Abbott and Old Speckled Hen on as well. I'd certainly visit again if in the area as it's quite handy for the railway station.
