How on earth can a pub like this close down in such a great central location in the town?

The answer can only be that the place must be a dreadfully run place run by a pubco with managers that don't give shit!

A good selection of ales from this "Smith & Jones" branded pub. A must every year when we come down on carnival day. As mentioned has now been called "The Clipper" for sometime. 8/10

I cannot believe for one minute that the doormen working on the evening of Saturday 10th April at the Barracuda Weymouth, are 'Door safe' trained!!! I myself work for the Emergency Services, so know the meaning of good customer service. They were rude, arrogant and have I think, let their position as 'pretend policeman' go right to their airheads.... sort it out guys, and please, DO NOT give up your day jobs.. :)

What a find, Large center of town pub catering for the sports fans. On the day I went to watch Arsenal v Barcelona it was on the big Screen and Green King IPA was a 1 Pint all day. I must say the beer was excellant even at that price. I enquired why it was so ceap and found ot that they were closing for a refit the next weekend and had to sell it all. It was normally 2.25p a Pint.Friendly Staff and worth a visit. Food looked OK and was priced at the cheaper end of the market.

If you enjoy walking in to a pub, and having leering stag parties treat you like a piece of meat, this is the place for you! The only redeeming feature is the outside, pretty lights and exotic plants....when it's not full of shouting/swearing/fighting pillocks....

Theakstons & Bombadier at 1.95 a pint in good condition. Definitely a young persons pub but staff were friendly to this pensioner.

Popped in on carnival day and was pleasently suprised. Now owned by Barracuda Group means at least two ales on in general, and the pint of ringwood boondoggle didnt disappoint, yum! Friendly service and great comfy sofa to lie back and enjoy it on, 8/10

I went in this pub on new year and what a mistake it was. What i saw inside was a mess. There was broken glass all over the dancefloor (try using plastic on new years eve you donkey's), my feet stuck to the carpet after standing for more than 2 seconds, a beer glass flew right past me and smashed up the bar and to top it all off the crap the Dj was playing could have sent me to sleep. There was door staff, but they all looked like they couldn't be arsed. I left soon after. Atleast when it was the Rectory it used to be popular

Just like The Old Rectory used to be (ie shit) but with a couple of palm trees outside. The toilets remain a health hazard.
