Called in today whilst completing the Wherrymans Walk and very friendly greeting made us feel welcome. The local Wolf Brewery's 3.7 lavender honey bitter was superb and helped us on our way!

Great food, best sunday lunch I've had out in ages, and friendly staff.
Just wish someone could give me a lift over the river to turn a 26 mile round trip into a walk down to the river and back....

Lovely site too.

Just around the corner by boat from the Ferry House at Surlingham, and slightly further by road you will come to the Coldham Hall. Its off a little lane between Surlingham and Rockland St.Mary and you can see Brundall on the opposite bank of the Yare. Good food here, well manicured gardens and 2 Woodfordes beers in good nick, 'Once Bittern' and 'Wherry' from the barrel in the bar. Another good bet for a sunny day.

Have eaten at the newly refurbished Coldham Hall several times. The food has always been excellent and the new two and three course special menu's are good value for a high quality meal. Tried their curry night last night and was very impressed, 3 curries to choose from (Korma, Biriyani & Madras) served with rice, naan bread, onion and cucumber salad and a pot of mango chutney. This and a pint included for 7.50 is a bargain. Best curry I've had in ages. I believe it is on every other Monday so looking forward to next one.....

Beers are good too, choice of lagers and ales direct from barrel.

No matter how good the beer, food or location may be it certainly does'nt warrant a price tag of 2:00p for a pint of very weak lime & soda from a multi pump, glad I said no to the ice!
I can never work out why some establishments think that ripping customers off equates to sound business sense.
Maybe in this case they think that the punters are on holiday so will not bother to check the prices, or as they may not come back again they consider its o.k. to take them for all they can?
Very very Sad.
