Its a Pitcher and Piano, if you are after olde worlde atmosphere or quirks or a homely atmosphere, you have come to the worng place. It's ok, not particularly offensive, decor ok, toilets ok, but you could be in a Pitcher and Piano in Luton and you would barely tell the difference.

Went in here on Saturday afternoon at 230pm for a quick drink with a mate, it was fine - empty ... so great to be able to chat, served staright away etc. So although not great in the evening all right for a weekend refresher during the day ... certainly better than the dire All Bar One across the road!

visited this pub last weekend in a party of people liked the idea that you can reserve an area of the pub for a group at no costs. Bit pricey, food not bad although menu a bit limited. Did not like the idea of not paying for your drinks etc as you go along it is very easy to run up a big bill and not realise what you are spending. We were also miffed by the barman bring us our bill at 10.50pm as the pub closes at 11.00 pm early night for us. Also check your bill when you get it we found items added that we had not ordered. Looked like we were paying someone elses bill.

I am no fan of 'Pitchers and Pianos' at the best of times but the times I've had the misfortune to go here I've regretted it. The last time (and it will be the last time) I was treated with disdain by the barstaff for not wishing to leave my card behind the bar, this is a increasingly annoying feature of frequenting bars, I mean I don't mind being asked if I want to do this but when I say 'no thank you' i don't expect sneering and implying I'm some kind of loser, avoid this place!

a pitcher and piano indeed, but it beays the competition in the area.higher prices do keep out the teen market, but as a consequence there are a few flash harrys.its open late, and has a pretty easygoing door policy,so take a chance-you might even get lucky with friendly, from essex.

Taken to this pub last week, they said it had been done up, (god knows what it was like before)if this what it looks like now. Words fail me apart from C**P.Over priced rubbish, only go there if someone else is paying for the drinks for the night!

The best thing about it that it has a function room (quite literally a room, with sofas and a fireplace) that me and my friend once slipped into and infultrated as many photos as we could. So if you had a party here some time in the first half of 1997 and all your photos had the same two goons lurking in the background, well, that was me and my mate Mike.
Good for: Nothing much else really. It's a P&P, what do you want, blood?

same old same old, all the P&Ps are the same. Same people, doing same things. Too many fat chicks squeezed into small clothes swigging cheap white wine. Unless you like that sort of thing.
