The Hope, Carshalton

Slerpy seems to have a bugbear about this place. Been coming here for ages. Friendly staff, well kept beer and plenty of variety, constantly changing guest beers. Always hard to get a seat as it's popular. Always surprises me I can get through the door with my 60 inch waist and walking stick.

The Stag, Flackwell Heath

Changed ownership again. Been here 3 times this year. Last week only Pride on tap. Was expecting Rebellion but it was off apparently. Food quality has gone down a bit - overcooked pie and undercooked veg.

Rashleigh Arms, Charlestown

This used to be a nice pub but its been transformed into a tourist hotel/eaterie and lost its soul along the way. The food is OK and so is the beer but the prices have gone up dramatically. I used to go here quite frequently but no more. Still, they seem to be minting it so probably won't care. The next step will be 'winter closing'.
