Great pub, one of my regular haunts when passing through Soho. Beer selection usually good, always a pleasure to see Tim Taylor, but also brews new to me. Gents is a bit hard to find if you dont know where it is. Decor is lovely. More spacious bar upstairs.

Without doubt the best pub in Ealing for the past 30 years since I first went in. The work done a few years ago hasn't changed the feel too much, and it was certainly very small before. Dont get there very often these days, but usually drop in if I'm passing. Met my wife in there so it has a lot to answer for.

Recently spent a fine afternoon in the City Arms; made to feel very welcome, especially as I had a newspaper crossword none of those standing at the bar had done yet. Great selection of beer. Only found the place by (happy)accident. A city centre 'must visit'.

Certainly the only pub in Eastcote, bar the Woodman, thats worth a visit. Avoid the Manor. Historic interior has a Camra award. A bit hit and miss with the friendliness sometimes, but a pleasant place to sit out in the summer. Usually a half decent selection of beer.

New landlord/manager since the beginning of the year, trying to resurrect the place. The owners intend to spend a lot on a refurbishment soon. At present it hosts 'walk around, pound in a glass' strippers wed & friday afternoons in a curtained off section of the pub, which for me makes up for there not being any beer worth drinking yet. Give it time. Pool table and quite a friendly place. Car park at the back.

The Case Is Altered, Eastcote
They have had drainage put in under the lawn so that it can be used after its been raining. Before it was very often not possible to sit out at the tables as the ground was too wet.
