The Dutton Hotel, Manchester

Can't help but agree with the sentiments expressed here. A classic boosers boozer - plenty of character and a very good pint of Hydes. Very unusual shape. Unmissable.

The Prince Of Wales, Chorley

Beer remains consistently good. Friendly and old fashioned. A genuine oasis of a traditional pub in a desert of mediocrity.

The Malt 'n' Hops, Chorley

Very nice interior and good beer selection although, sadly, not always on great form. Last visit, (29/2/08) chose Kodiak Gold which was well below par.

The Dressers Arms, Wheelton

Still no sign of landlord serving, same old snooty types at the crowded bar (altho better now thanks to the smoking ban), very expensive and certainly better service and value elsewhere.

The Prince Of Wales, Chorley

Existing solely on wet sales, this says a lot for the quality of the beer, which is excellent. Only casque marque pub in Chorley. Jennings beers plus guests. Old fashioned and friendly, a true local pub. Don't miss it.

The Dressers Arms, Wheelton

Very smoky bar, unfriendly staff, cliquey regulars. Real Ale, but very expensive (2.50-2.60 guest beers). No longer brews on premises.
