I visited the pub on Thursday as the manager from the Millstream said it was a nice place to go, a little upper market i was told! YEAH RIGHT! The place looks realy nice, could do with a bit of a clean! The manager from the millstream should go visit it. I realy didnt like it, I was served by I assume the manager, so rude! He looked like he'd just rolled out of bed, I orderd my drink and he said to me 'is that it, just a drink' and smerked at me! I was going to eat but HE WAS SO RUDE! I went to my normal pub in hitchin I WONT GO HERE AGAIN! You get better sevice in emdinton McDonalds!....and thats realy bad!!!

I can not understand the comments made about this pub!!! I dont visit that oftern (ounce a week). This in my opinion is great, I have got to know a few of the staff and Im made very welcome everytime! I do eat in this pub, and ok the food does need improvment! Had a chicken salad and the chicken was burnt! But as for the atmosphere WOT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR? Its a very big pub, but saying pub, its not the normal kind of pub! I was in on thursday I see the same saff as I always do, great service and make the time to talk to me! I dont know where the comments come from, but I think this place is good! Im glad this pub does not appeal to the young, drunk and scum that the other two pubs have. WELL DONE MILLSTREAM, WELL DONE MCMULENS FOR BEING BETTER AND DIFFERENT!

The Three Horseshoes, Letchworth
Imm new to the area, and the girlfriend and I went for a drive. This pub is realy realy nice. Fantastic food and great service. A must for a person who enjoys good food!

For ounce I agree with the pieeater, this pub is so stuck in the 70's, Its not nice, Very much a locals pub, locals that are 16. Could be a gold mine! More welcomming across the road in McDonalds, and thats saying something!

this pub is ok, I did go to this pub just before christmas, however I dont normally say bad things, so I wont, I just didnt like it in here. I dont smoke, the pub stinks of smoke still, most pubs have got rid of the smell, this pub has not. I do feel abit uneasy walking in here, due to the gangs that are in the car park and by the door. The staff are not on the ball, its like they dont want to be there!

The Anchor Inn (Hungry Horse), Hitchin
as again i have seen another comment ade by the pieeater, you know I have just made a comment on the millstream, I visited the anchor aswell today for a quick drink, no yobs, just a another nice pub, realy nice guy behind the bar. I have not had anything to eat in this pub yet, but I will, just to prove a point to others that look at this site. Hitchin does have a load of nice pubs, dispite what pieeater says!

I have looked at this site today and I must say that the comment below is sad, as this is not the pub that I visit. I was in the Millstream at Luchtime tuesday 12.02.08 and had a great time, the 3 staff that were working were great, 2 female's and one male working, so fully staffed. It was quite busy and I was served straight away. I did eat and the food that I had was great. Ok the food is typical of a beefeater type pub, but they dont pretend to be anything but a nice, clean pub. I will say that the pub does have a sence of coldness, due to the size of the place. I will say some more sofa's and some exciting foods on the menu, very english, even with the chcken tikka. I will say to the person who wrote the comment below, dont go to this pub, infact dont go to any pub, go to asda get a multi pack of lager, and sit in by yourself, pubs are just a place that you dont like so dont go in them!

To all, The Millstream has changed. This pub has a great feel to it. The food that I have had over the past few weeks has been great. The pub has been busy and you get a real feeling of relaxation, this was helped wth 3 real log fires lit. This pub has changed and I realy enjoy it there. There are new managers in the pub now, and the manners of the staff has changed. To be honnest there are not many , if any of the old staff there. I think this will become my local, however I dont live local. (haha)

This place will always be a bad pub. It has just been re-opened after spending a load of money on it, But with the people in this town they dont even respect themselves, so they wont respect the pub. it will turn into a dump again. The new manager is a misserable man, the pub has always been run by idiots. Barracuda group must have a low speck when looking for managers. Went in a week afer they opened, i couldnt have four things on the menu as the diddnt have a frozen food delivery. The glasses smell, and staff are more interested in having a conversation with there friends than trying to please a customer. If you want to have a good nite out, dont go out in Royston, things have changed a little since Fat Jax was closed, I remember having a good nite out in this town. Now there is knowhere to go. Post office pub, wwould be better as a place to buy stamps!

Bar Original, Surrey Quays
This place is great, It is full of people who care about what they look like. up-market and has a great feel. I realy enjoy it here, my girlfriend and I go every weekend. The staff are good, know what there doing. Does attract gays, but thats because its dun up realy nice! But you want to have your nose in the clouds and wear all yur designer clobba, perfect place!!
