The Ash Tree, Ashton Under Lyne

Unbelievable! I read the last comment and thought I'd give it a nother try. Worst decision of the week. No IPA on and the manager has even put it up by 30p - not so at all the other local Wetherspoons. The reason why there are a lot in is because it's full of Blue Rinse filling up on the 2.99 meals and cheap coffee. Staff still bone idle and ignorant.

The Ash Tree, Ashton Under Lyne

After 18 months of steady improvement, the Ash Tree has gone back to the dire old days since former manager Ray has returned. Staff now miserable and lazy. Food must have deteriorated - just look how much is left on the plates. This pub is the most expensive Wetherspoons in the area.

I thought the Ash Tree in Ashton was bad for service but this one is even worse. The bar staff can see you waiting but will continue to talk to each other or disappear into yhe back room.

Hop Pole Hotel, Ashton Under Lyne

Just re-opened, AGAIN. Will go to the wall again at these prices -1.95 for John Smiths. Just walk 100 yards into the town centre for cheaper beer and better pubs.

Decent pint and a good choice of guest beers at a reasonable price, even cheaper on a Monday. Service can be very poor, but not as bad as most Wetherspoons.

Great "local" pub right on the seafront. Superb pintof Sam Smiths Sovereign, 3 pints and change from 4. No infuriating televisions.

The Last Orders, Oldham

This is a great pub. The staff are really friendly an QUICK. The beer is grear, Tetleys @ 1.10 and John Smiths @1.20. Wherever you sit you can see a T>V> screen.

I have been in 96 Wetherspoons and this is THE WORST for getting served, The staff will do any other job but serve you. If you are lucky enough to be served, the the beer is excellent.
