Good country pub, large beer garden with some play equipment, and a riverside garden that,s adults only, this is lovely and peaceful, despite the niose from the road.
Food was varied and very well presented, we lunched in the riverside garden and the staff had no problems finding us.
Usual Everards beers, but a couple of fine guest ales to be had

Wide menu of cocktails and some food, bit pricey though,
interior a bit confusing, and music really loud

The Shakespeare's Head, Leicester
Lovely cheap trad ales, pool table and dart board, friendly staff told us that theres a Sunday Lunch to be had
I quite like the building, it looks like the Globe Theatre in London..

Nice Guinness, good to see cheese and onion cobs available. This Pub has a sort of Irish feel, and I found the regulars to be very friendly and sociabel

Loud RnB Music playing, Floor and tables sticky and mucky, nice first floor balcony though, we enjoyed holding marks up to the local skateboarders!
There's no trad beers on, but a surprisingly good selection of bottles to be had.
My mate calls it a "Lads Mag Pub" and he's got a point..

Converted factory, pleasant veranda with Gas Heaters. Floors, tables and squashy sofa all sticky and nasty, no trad beers. Pool table. Access to bar down a long flight of stairs, so difficult at the best of times..

Perhaps a bit fierce and blokey looking for a start, but don't be put off, the staff and locals are very friendly. Almost family orientated, with food all day, and a fine looking Sunday Roast available, but there's lagers and some lovely traditional ales on, TopHatte is right (see above) the Batemans was a treat, with five on all together.

We found the usual selection of draught lagers, but a wide variety of traditional ales to gladden the heart!
There was live Blues Music in the lounge, and the ales were beatifully kept..
The whole pub is in one level, and apart from one step, should be fine for disabled visitors.
The decor is simple, and kept clean, what more do you want?
Only downside we can find is that they shut at 11.30 on the weekend!

really good selection of beers in bottles, and some unusual ones on draught, friendly barstaff, can recommend the mussels!

Queen Victoria, Syston
Under new management, the bar has been knocked through, and a new room added, there's a large garden to the rear, and a covered courtyard. Nice pint of Sunchaser, food is recommended, but I've not tried it yet
