They did the right thing by no longer serving cask ale. Nice selection of keg beers now including Meantime. The food is really good value for money. Not everyone wants to hear loud music as early as 7pm though. Some of us like to have a conversation.

This is clearly a student pub. It was fairly quiet on our late Sunday afternoon visit. There are no real ales. But the 3 handpulls did have a cider and a perry from Westons - Old Rosie & Country Perry. I couldn't argue with 2 a pint for the latter. The single room itself is large and has a high ceiling and oversized bar. The place has a warehouse feel to it and probably packs a fair amount of students in during term time. Staff were pleasant enough. Whilst this isn't really my sort of pub, the cider and perry were welcome.

just visited this gem of a pub, it has everything you need, great food, music and friendly staff. this is by far the best looking pub in Leicester with a really relaxed cool vibe - credit to the owner who chatted to me about anything and everything, unlike round at the interlude where nobody wanted to even acknowledge me!
definitely a destination, well done

Lively, trendy pub in the heart of student territory. Pretty packed on a Thursday, which bodes well for them. Relatively expensive if an offer isn't on. Real ales are priced at 3, of which there was Castle Rock's Harvest and Elsie Mo, Oakham Oblivion and a handpulled cider. The Oblivion was on at 2.50. The two beers from Castle Rock were on good form. This is a pub that fills a gap in the market successfully, but it goes without saying that it won't be for everyone.

Now reopened as The Font. Only been a couple of times so far so can't do a full review. The keg fonts are a little uninspiring apart from Vedett and Timmermans Kriek. An outlet for the ridiculously monikered Stella Black. Four real ales including Blue Monkey 99 Red Baboons, Castle Rock Harvest Pale and Elsie Mo. The baboons was just beginning to turn sour which doesn't bode well for a pub that's only been open little over a week. The food menu looks great. They do real chips - not frozen crap. 6/10.
