Where can I start ! A Rude unhelpfull Australian Manageress, Mains came out before Starters, food returned 3 times as it was just awful, banging and crashing coming from the Kitchen, no explanation or apology from Management, one nice young Barman did however apologise for the bad service.Needless to say we refused to pay.All in all a terrible experience.

The Chelsfield, Chelsfield

Just found out that The Chelsfield is to be reopened by the same people who run the fabulous Crown & Anchor in Bromley. I and my Collegues have nothing but praise for this Pub, its a hidden Gem, we Eat and Drink here regularly. I live close to Chelsfield but work in Bromley so I'll be over the moon to have a quality Pub in both areas. I'll keep a rating until after my first visit post Refurb. Good luck I'm sure you are on to a winner.

The Crown and Anchor, Bromley

My second visit to this Pub and I have to say its a breath of fresh Air. New Menu, I tried the Homemade Curry and it was amazing my Mum had a Fish Pie special also Homemade, can't comment on taste as don't eat Fish but she practically licked the plate. Management Couple and Barlady were really lovely and it was great to see it busyish. The Fire was all set and ready to blaze maybe next time I'll stay and get cozied up. See you soon !

The Home Cottage, Redhill

Under relatively new Management, and you can tell. I only visit because my Dad drinks here and to be honest would rather have given it a miss until recently. Its definately cleaner with alot more attention to detail, I suppose its because a Woman is in charge !, I did comment to the New Landlady and she was so appreciative of my possitive feedback, obviously been in the trade a long time and knows her stuff so keep up the good work. I will look forward to my 'duty bound visits' in future. Rating 7 only because it needs investment.

The Rose and Crown, Orpington

I hear there may soon be a change of Management, yet again ! What is wrong with this place or is it Youngs that just seem to cock things up. I have worked in Pub Management myself and I know ony too well that when a Pub doesnt work, blame and get shot of the Manager.Rather than admit that the Company have got it totally wrong.I visit The Rose & Crown at least twice a week and I have to say it has been much better since the current Landlady took over. The standards have definately improved and she Manages to create quite a nice atmosphere even though you can tell she is obviously under pressuer to increase trade. The Pub needs consistency so to keep changing the person at the Healm is a NO NO.

The Symonds Well, Epsom

Unfair comment, Pub has always been great, think previous Owners made an error employing a Dodgy Manager for a while but thats about it, they always made you welcome and made an effort.I will continue to use The Syms as its a favourite of mine and I'm glad to see that someone is making an effort to keep it going, too many of our decent Locals are closing down, I feel for those who didn't make it out the other end of the recession.

Boxing on Sat night atmosphere was great, pub packed , Saw local celeb Mr Jimmy White had popped in for a couple, seems like a really decent guy, very nice to the staff etc.

The Symonds Well, Epsom

Well they even put the Boxing on Sat night, the place was heaving and a brilliant atmosphere. There is a new Bar Manager in situ, was a bit worried at first as you just don't know how things will go, however not doing a bad job its nice and lively, standards havn't dropped, but it was nice to see the owners mucking in on Sat night, pls don't leave us alltogether its reasurring to have you around. If you have never visited this Pub you are definately missing out, not many left !

The best night ever, they had a Drag Queen on he/she was brilliant. Well done I say for keeping good old fashioned entertainment alive. I know I'm a huge fan of this pub anyway but these people never let me down. Great pub great people great atmosphere I've got the hangover from hell today but wouldn't swap it.

Well I couldn't agree more with the last couple of comments, such a shame that a company can spend fortunes on a refurb and put someone like 'her' in charge. Face like a slapped arse constantly, I fail to understand how the place has any customers at all. I visit occasionally only because I have to, my Dad lives round the corner, but even he agrees she is putrid. Not been there for a while but promised myself the next time I visit I will wait to see if she's had a facelift if not I will definately pass remark.

The Symonds Well, Epsom

Came into town again at the weekend (met someone Derby weekend ! ) and yet again The Syms didn't fail to impress. The staff and owners remembered my name and drink, how about that, mind you I did put a few away Derby weeknd !, Sunday evening we had proper pies from a pie & mash shop served at the bar, free. These people know how to treat there customers such a shame all locals arn't like this one. Atmosphere was fab and the lady I am seeing, 'currently', agrees, long may it last. Wish me luck folks !

The Symonds Well, Epsom

Great Pub, a group of us up from South End used this pub all over Derby weekend the atmosphere was sensational the Owners couldn't do enough for everyone, Jackie cooks a smashing breakie. Later in the evening we heard of a few rucks occuring around Epsom Town center but fortunately for us we picked the best pub, no hint of any trouble, just really good fun.Once the bar thinned out 10.30pm approx having been 6 deep all day the music was cranked and we had a good old fashioned Boogy everyone joined in one big group, and we wernt pushed out either. Definately my regular haunt anytime I visit Epsom in the future.I've run pubs in a previous life and can tell you 'you won't get much better than this' genuinley deserves support from Epsom locals.
