The Barley Mow, Shepperton

This is a real gem of a local pub, offering an ever-changing range of real ales and ciders (Hop Back Summer Lightning and Hogs Back TEA are the regulars) always served in great condition. A friendly atmosphere, traditional pub games (including bar billiards), and live music Friday and Saturday. And the food comes in packets. Best pub for miles!

Boundary, Staines

Hopeless. If you're only going to offer one real ale it would be worth getting it right. The Pedigree is chilled almost to destruction and expensive too. If you want to watch the football walk across the square to the Town Hall (Deuchars and Brains SA in good nick at 1.50 a pint last weekend).

The George, Staines

cjallen is hard to please! Yes the service is pretty hopeless at times as with most Wetherspoons outlets, but a choice of five or more real ales always in great condition at 1.89 a pint is hard to beat. I've been using it since it opened and I've never been refused a top-up.

The Swan Hotel, Staines

Book a window seat in the restaurant on a warm summer's evening and just enjoy the sunset, the river view, good food, friendly service - all washed down with a pint of ESB! Fullers' other beers are great too though!

The Royal Oak, Wood Street

The Bells, Staines

Ales always in tip-top order, good food, friendly atmosphere - best pub in Staines by a long way. My last visit was spoiled by the live music - a one man band playing very loudly and very badly! Hopefully this is not a regular Saturday event.

Busy, friendly atmosphere, good range of well kept ales, good value food, good service. Great pub!

The Beehive, Staines

A nice friendly traditional back street local, and the best pint of Courage Best I've had in a long while. Visit spoiled by a choking level of cigarette smoke and a fuzzy picture on the big screen in the saloon. Will be one of the better pubs in Staines from July!

The Wheatsheaf and Pigeon, Staines

Nice friendly local with three good real ales. Disgustingly smoky atmosphere when busy though. Will go back after July 1st!
