Nice location and atmosphere in the pub, the restaurant lacked atmosphere and felt a little cold and empty. The staff were, on the whole, friendly and helpful. The food was atrocious - Our meals were so bad we sent them back. To their credit the staff dealt with this professionally and quickly offered us a full refund. Would have preferred a decent feed though. griffin80 - 2 May 2011 18:24
Beer was OK ... food was OK .... both were expensive but I guess we were paying for location as well. Staff were for the most part on the ball but at one point the manager did have a bit of a rant at one of them in front of the customers which I thought was extremely unprofessional. dGriz - 19 Aug 2010 15:45
Utterly shambolic. We had accommodation and a meal booked for our wedding day and they managed to mess up one of the room reservations, the manager kept the groom awake the night before the wedding screaming under his window, they forgot our dinner reservation and then kept us waiting for food for an hour and 20 minutes! The place was in complete chaos. The food was nice (when it eventually appeared) but is pricey for what it is. We will not be going back ever again. Daisies - 26 Jun 2010 19:02
As mentioned below, a great place to go for a couple of drinks on a summer's evening. Make sure you have plenty of cash though; this place ain't cheap! Ate here once ages ago. It was Ok, I seem to remember. stevebex - 21 Feb 2010 17:46
Not cheap but the atmosphere is OK (no riff raff onthe whole) and the service tends to be on the good side rather than average or very bad as per the rest of Staines. No complaints about the quality of the beer. Thevicar - 6 Oct 2009 13:16
