Servive .... well don't ask for anything out of the ordinary once you do get served and God forbid you want a short drink in an appropriate glass. I think JD has two glass sizes - pints and halves (tumblers). Oh well I guess I should be just happy with the prices and choice of ales... Thevicar - 9 Mar 2008 13:13
The quality of the ale in here continues to impress, proves that in capable hands Wetherspoons pubs can be good. Shame the inside is such a mess. The place to go in Staines for a beer, very very good. Quinno - 3 Feb 2008 21:40
Can get really packed, seeting is a struggle to find and buying drinks can take you a while. Otherwise a very nice pub, cheap prices. Probably one of the best Wetherspoons for its selection of real ale. manonthemoon - 4 Jan 2008 04:18
riverboy suggests that I'm hard to please! On the contrary; give me a FULL pint and I'm as happy as a puppy in a streetful of lampposts! I'm pleased to hear that at least one customer gets a top-up without argument, but why should he have to ask anyway? I wrote to JD Wetherspoon in November 07 to complain about the short measures in The George, and Kathy Long (Customer Services) wrote to say that steps would be taken to improve the service; still waiting, Kathy! cjallen - 2 Jan 2008 15:19
cjallen is hard to please! Yes the service is pretty hopeless at times as with most Wetherspoons outlets, but a choice of five or more real ales always in great condition at £1.89 a pint is hard to beat. I've been using it since it opened and I've never been refused a top-up. riverboy - 13 Nov 2007 14:03
