Campbells Bar, Horndean

Don't bother now, it is CLOSED.

The Ship and Bell, Horndean

Most enjoyable pub. A great selection of beers including Fullers ESB, a great buy at 3.05. The lunch time food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The only complaint is that sometimes service is slow but the staff are very friendly.

The Farmer Inn, Catherington

Oh dear. I have just revisited this pub and it is not very good at all. The previous tenant let it run down very badly and it needs a lot of TLC. The food used to be great but now it is not very good. The beer is still o.k. but is very expensive. A pint of ESB is 3.20 and in the Ship and Bell it is 2.95. Come on lets return to a great friendly local.

The beer was o.k. and in ggod condition. We went for lunch and I'm afraid that the food was awful. No flavour, not cooked properly, the vegetables were hard and cold. The advertised special soup was not available and we were the first people in !!! I certainly won't eat there again

The Rising Sun, Swanmore

An excellent very friendly village pub. The food and ales are very good indeed. Large open garden. Well worth a visit.

The Vine, Hambledon

A friendly village pub. Good well kept ales. The food is very good but there is better value for lunches (The Farmer Inn, Catherington which has the best chips in the country)

I have just returned from a lunch time drink at this pub and I have to agree with some comments. Yes, the pub is a little tired and needs some updating. Fullers where are you ???). The beer is in fine condition and well kept but let's have a better choice. I believe ESB is coming in which will be great. This is a very friendly family village pub and they have a new chef. We have just had one of the best lunches that we have ever had in a pub. Two courses from the specials menu for $5.95, absolutely fabulous. The evening menu is just as good. Come on everybody, keep country pubs going. We can't afford to lose them.

The Wheatsheaf, Shedfield

Love the beers straight from the barrel behind the bar and always in superb condition. The food is excellent as well. I just wish the landlord and landlady would SMILE !!! and be a litle more friendly. Still a great pub.

The Rising Sun, Clanfield

The most expensive and unfriendly pub I have been to in a long time. The meals are typical pub meals but as soon as it arrives the amount puts you off wanting to eat it. Just out to make money.
