The Wheatsheaf, Writtle

A wonderful traditional village pub with a wide range of real ales. Recently voted Essex CAMRA Pub of the Year. Landlord Tony and wife Barbara have worked hard over the past 11 years to build up a loyal local following and while the menus somewhat limited it is good value.

The Swan, Little Totham

Landlord John's efforts in this wonderful "chocolate box" pub have made him CAMRA National Pub of the Year twice! A truly wonderful place for real ale enthusiasts and the food is excellent. And yes there is an open log fire in the winter to top it off. Very few pubs in the country come close to this.
