| This place is now well and truly open for business. It's been open for just over a year now so I am surprised no-one on BITE noticed. Great position, totally renovated. Beer garden next to water, boat trips, and BBQ would be good for good weather. Adnams plus a few international beers on tap - Mad Goose was good. | This pub has extremes, its in a beautiful position, right by the Stour and a great beer garden. Thats where the plus points end. I ordered a ploughmans lunch for about �9 - the bread was that half cooked / microwaved sort, doughy and damp. The ham was also damp and tasteless. It was and I really mean this, utterly filthy. I took it back only to be met with a rude disregard of 'well no-one else has complained' and the owner just walked off. My two friends that were with me were also appalled by their meals but were met but similar disinterest from the owner. My recommendation - dont go there, why should people who have no interest in food quality and customer satisfaction receive your pound when there are so many other pubs near by that are better? adamfausset - 20 Feb 2009 14:26 |
