The Landseer, Holloway

Really nice bar. Have called in a few times for Sunay roast. The food is always delicious and the staff friendly. You can easily spend the days chilling out on the sofas with a few Sunday papers

The Bull, Islington

Called in here on Saturday for some lunch and will definately be making a repeat visit. Nice beers on tap - went for Erdinger. Really good food menu - went for some tasty sandwiches but could have went back for more food later. Reasonably priced and delicious. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed a lazy relaxed Saturday lunch.

Monkey Nuts, Crouch End

Poor, poor, poor. That pretty much sums up everything about our recent trip to Monkey Nuts. From the minute we went it we should probably have trusted our instincts and walked straight back out. The 'manager' left us waiting in the middle of the way while he continued to talk to his friends. Eventually got seated (the place wasn't even busy so no excuse for the poor service). Waited forever for our drinks to be taken by the very uninterested staff. Our food was distinctly average and to be honest completely over priced for what we got. We didn't get given cutlery until badgered our 'waitress' think having customers was a big inconvenience to her. A really disappointing night. Service charge was added to the bill but in hindsight we should have not cared about looking cheap and asked for it to be removed. It most certainly wasn't deserved. Never going back again.

Old Nick, Holborn

Don't go here for food!!! Just went for a pub lunch at the Old Nick - and it was preety horrendous! We stupidly ordered our drinks before looking at the menu so kind of got stuck here. Waited for about 40 mins for our food even though the place was dead quiet. When we got the food it was pretty dire. Sandwich look like it was thrown together by a 2 year old, 'mixed salad' consisted of a lettuce leaf and a dried up piece of cucumber, 'thick hand cut chips' were cold greasy McDonalds stle fries. The whole things was awful. Pints were ok but wouldn't really bother with here.
