| I recently went to this restaurant after reading the review about food poisoning thinking the same thing - a bit suspect. But after spending all night in A&E with my mother who had terrible food poisioning, not feeling too great myself and having other members of the party very sick too, I wished that I stayed away! | As a Crounch End local, I have been been going to Monkeynuts for some time. I went again on Friday and had an amazing steak, followed by a delicious sharing chocolate fondue, yummy. The service was fast and friendly which added to the great atmosphere. Great for families too. P.S The bad review with the name dropping seems like an advert for another restaurant.Suspect eh! | I have been an regular since this place opened and cant rave enough about it! this place has the best service in crouch end and the best burgers in London. The homemade brownie with vanilla icecream is to dye for along with the great cocktail list. I have stumbled out after a few too many on more than a number of occasions. The management team here is great along with the rest of the staff, and the queues that go out of the door on the weekend sum up what i and alot of other regulars think of this place! | Four of us went to Monkey Nuts last night because Pick More Daisies was fully booked. One couldn't walk home due to chronic stomach cramps and two others were ill in the middle of the night/next morning. I was ok - but I was the only one that didn't eat the chicken. Phoned the bar just now to notify them (I personally don't like it much so didn't want to negotiate free meal or anything!) and they were pleasant but could only say that they hoped it was nothing to do with them.
