The Express Tavern, Kew Bridge

after suggesting this pub for bite way back in 2003 ( god are we still stuck living in London after so long!!!) its still my fav local, good to see its attracting more & more punters, still great service & lovely old time atmosphere & the patio/garden is always where we head on a sunny day.

still live round the corner (100m away) & sadly this place has not improved we still pop in every now and again hoping that it has transformed into a nice comfy local boozer!!!!!!!!alas not to be.
quite happy in the courtyard on a warm evening but inside with those wood echoey floors cant hear my damned self THINK never mind talk to anyone even if they are sitting 1 ft away from me!!!
also sadly those nasty creatures from foxtons still infest this place on a regular basis............& thats enough to make anyone atay well clear.

The Poole Arms, Poole

i liked this pub inside & out although packed on sat night with folk enjoying the seafood so packed you risk knocking their meals all over the floor as you make your way to the bar!

The Gunnersbury, Chiswick

have to review my earlier comments about this place. the plans for this places demolition are on hold at the mo & it has been quickly done up. small bar to the left fine for a quick drink on your way up the high rd (or to the tube) & large bar/club on the right good place to see some interesting live bands or during the day to watch various football matches.
have staff who have been there for the past year or so excellent.

Connolly's, Chiswick

i like this little pub even if it does have the usual collection of memorobilia you get in these so called 'oirish' pubs. good place to watch football, excellent staff - even when very busy ( & it gets very packed) get served quickly & they manage to keep the tables clean.
can get a little smokey though even for a smoker!
