It seemed a lot smaller in here than what I remember from my last visit a couple of years ago, but maybe I just got bigger!

Honeydew and Pride were available alongside 5 premium lagers, Carling and Guinness. There is a pleasant looking patio garden at the rear off the pub, but with walls on all 4 sides I don’t think that it is very scenic. I have to agree with other comments about it seeming more like a restaurant, but unlike other pubs of this ilk I wasn’t made to feel uncomfortable just ordering a pint.

Although the barmaid was very busy with a delivery she came over and served me straight away with a smile and a thank you. In this day and age with the competition in the pub/restaurant trade as it is you would think that this would be the norm, but unfortunately it is not.

I’d go back in here again if I was near, but I’ll never pay £2.00 for a packet of crisps, be them homemade or not!

More of an eating than a drinking pub. The food was good (and at those prices, it should be), but the drinks are really mind-bogglingly expensive. GBP5 for a pint of Weissbier!

Lovely terrace in the summer (though evening sun is blocked by large houses directly to the west!), food a bit hit and miss, can be awful or OK basically. Not much to be said for it outside of the summer months.

As another reviewer has said, avoid Friday evenings.

Had luch here yesterday and was very impressed with the food, sat outside which was really nice, not sure what its like in the evenings but will be back to try it out.

Pretty good food and pleasant staff - often pop in on a Saturday lunchtime for a spot of grub, a pint and the papers. But this place must absolutely be avoided on a Friday evening when the horrors of Foxton's estate agents invade the place. I pity the poor staff.
