The Beer Engine, Coventry

Re-opened as a Hooter's style bar called Boston's.

Martyr's Inn, Tolpuddle

Stopped for lunch here recently. Very good food, although a little pricey as is the want of most gastropubs. Enjoyed a very nice pint of Badger Ale too. They only had two real ale pumps and both had the same Badger Ale on them.

The Old Windmill, Coventry

The landlord Robin Addy has taken over the members club in Warwick Row. I'm not sure who the new incumbent is but the beer is still good and apparently the kitchen is due to be refurbished.

The Whitefriars Olde Ale House, Coventry

Great olde-worldy pub with a great selection of real ales. They usually have five real ales on at any time across their eight (or is it nine?) taps - some appearing on more than one tap rather than just some taps not being on.

The pub is a true free house and has absolutely zero regular ales. Every time you go in you get something different. Many beers are locally sourced from the likes of Slaughterhouse Brewery, Warwickshire Brewery, Church End brewery etc. But I have had beers from The Isle of Skye, Isle of Man and even Ireland in the years I have been drinking there and I can count on the fingers of one hand the amount of pints I've thought were rubbish.

The Queens Head, Wokingham

Great pub with good beer. The pub is a Greene King tied pub with four real ales on tap.; Greene King IPA, Abbot Ale and Morland Original are the regulars plus a guest ale. The guest ale on my last visit on Tuesday was the simply delicious St. Austell's Tribute.

Drummonds Cafe Bar, Kenilworth

"Wetherspoons are believed to have identified an outlet in Kenilworth. It is thought that they will be taking over part of what used to be called Drummonds Bar in the town centre."

Pint Sides Sping 2007.
