| Hiya, Spookyhead I am sorry to hear about your naff pint of Landlord, I assure you that we do everything we can to keep our ales up to scratch. Camra drink here and we can't afford an off day. If anyone has a problem with their pint, simply bring it back to to bar and tell us about it! The prices however are not set by us. (ie the management). I will bring this up with the lease holder on Friday when we have our weekly meeting. if we're not as good as we used to be, tell me how we can improve. | First visit after an absence of several months. My pint of landlord was okay but certainly not worthy of a gbg listed pub. The decline of this establishment appears to be continuing. | Authentically traditional pub in this historic mediaeval street on the edge of the city centre. The small beamed snugs off the central corridor as you enter are a delight, some with only space for a maximum of 3 people. These afford views onto the street outside. Further back in the bar area the pub is more opened out and caters for a mixed clientele. I can imagine the pub caters for a circuit crowd later on but a good atmosphere prevailed on my visit, with singlaongs &c. Good to see a pub so busy on a Saturday afternoon. | We stumbled across this one whilst taking a look at the medieval buildings in Spon Street, of which the Old Windmill is one. The interior is impressive, with separate small and distinct drinking areas. Cask real ales on offer were Cottage Silly Mid Whippet, Taylor Landlord, Old Speckled Hen, Hobgoblin, Sharps Doombar and Everards Beacon and Sunchaser. In addition, they had Westons Old Rosie cider.
