The Winning Post, Whitton

Used to drink here all the time a few years ago, it was very convenient, but the main issues were the staff. Such a high turnover meant that none of the staff seemed trained at all, service was very slow, they were a bunch of kids who didnt have a clue how to serve in a pub, god forbid you should ask them to fill your glass of coke up to the brim! I once asked for a Kronenberg and received a fosters, I politely told the barmaid who disagreed with me.

"Nah hun you said fosters"

After a strop, multiple sighs, and rude behaviour I got the pint I asked for. What ever happened to the customer's always right? Or at least treating them with a bit of respect.

All that being said I have not been in there in a while and was wandering what the service is like nowadays.

The Prince Blucher, Twickenham

Still a cracking pub, cozy and friendly inside, staff are always good, manager very good, great food. The garden is quality in the summer, and the pub does not attract riff raff either, it always has a pleasent clientel.

The Grey Horse, Sunbury on Thames

Decent little pub, friendly locals and friendly staff. Beer is quite pricey. Only negatives really are the toilets which desperatly need sorting out, and the garden which is a bit of a mess, but overall a nice pub.

The Phoenix, Sunbury on Thames

Nice pub, I like sitting by the real log fire with a pint on cold evenings. Decent service, and always enjoy the wednesday night quiz.
The garden is great in the summer too.

The George, Staines

Aweful pub. Full of scumbag's during the day, and strange gothic types in the evening. Staff are rude and lazy, service is rubbish

The Swan, Hanworth

Ahh the swan! Having worked in the building next door for 8 years the Swan was like a 2nd home to all our office staff, we'd spend lunch times here playing pool, evenings after work getting drunk.
Yes it's grotty, the toilets are horrific, the glasses are dirty and it's often full of criminals but it was always a good laugh, the locals were always friendly the bar manager's always got to know us well, and we had some cracking times in there.

The Cabbage Patch, Twickenham

I used to like this pub for the football as it's one of the last places left in Twicks where you can watch the footie, but I do not go down here anymore since they started charging ridiculous prices for drinks.
A pint of Kronenberg now costs 3.75!! Amstel 3.65 its such a rip off. The screens have degraded as well and picture quality isnt great anymore. Food is still decent and it's still quite lively, I'd still go there if it wasnt for there ridiculous prices.
