| Confirm everything said in previous post, excellent beer at a great price for this area, and friendly 'locals' pub with darts etc. Will never win any design awards, but there are enough of those sorts of pubs these days. spikefromsurrey - 6 Feb 2012 20:56 |
| This is a smashing little pub close to Sunbury Cross on the road to Kempton Park Beware if traveling by road as it is slightly hidden from the main road. Just take the first lurn left over the railway bridge. Just one bar with 3 hand pulls London Pride & Sharps Doombar were on along with Twickenham Original which I had for a bargin £2.50 a pint. There were about half a dozen other punters in when I visited last Saturday all watching the Liverpool v Man u game on one of the two large TV's they have. bjbrummiejohn - 17 Oct 2011 07:28 |
| Thanks to you, Zappa, we popped in to the Grey Horse again, last Friday (13th !) as we were in the area (see my review Jan 2009 and Zappa's reply). Atmosphere was buzzing, and clientelle friendly. Superbly kept Twickenham Original, and Sharps Doombar. Service with a smile from the barmaid with the dark hair and red T-shirt. She made me feel quite at home. Thank you. Lovely pub. We will return. | It has now become a lazy habit for us to visit this pub around mid-week for an evening meal and a pint. They usually have a choice of two meals which are home cooked and generous for just £5.95. Always a friendly crowd of locals and a pub you can hold a conversation in, although there is a often keen football following (albeit civilised) at the TV end of the horseshoe shaped bar. mim - 8 Mar 2011 21:00 |
| always seem to be too drunk by the time I get to this pub, so have never enjoyed a proper evening here. However, seems a real proper pub, always busy and a good atmosphere TheGP - 26 Dec 2010 19:39 |
