The Drapers Arms, Barnsbury

The Drapers Arms has reopened under new management!

The place has had a major renovation and looks wonderful. The staff are eager to please and enthusiastic. The atmosphere in both the bar and the garden in the rear is very nice. The upstairs dining room looks spectacular. My only minor niggle is that the food underwhelmed a little. Admittedly our expectations were high given the care and attention paid to everything else but the menu was a bit disappointing. It is likely that they'll improve on this as they have only just opened so I'd certainly recommend you go in and try for yourself!

The Mucky Pup, Angel, Islington

A very friendly place with decent beers, an active pool table and a good smokers garden ("the bike sheds"). Pop in for a swift half and you'll probably end up staying till the bitter end chatting away to some friendly punters. Well worth a visit, particularly if you fancy a decent game of pool.

Duke's Head, Somerleyton

This is a really first rate pub. The beer is good, the food excellent, the staff are helpful and friendly and it has a large beer garden with some climbing stuff and swings that the children can enjoy.

It is part of the Somerleyton estate, which I think goes some way to explain the great overall quality of the place. Highly recommended!
