I've never bothered visiting this pub as the name put me off. It sounds like something you would avoid like the plague when you're on holiday in Benidorm. I tried it out Saturday after someone recommended it and meant to stay for a quick half before moving on but stayed for a few pints. A bit on the pricey side for the area at £3 a pint but the beer was very good - TT Landlord, Sharpe's Eden and a third I can't remember. A nice Victorian corner boozer. Oh, and a free jukebox with Led Zep.

Excellent, comfortable little pub away from the hussle of Upper Street. Great atmosphere, good jukebox and three well kept ales - Sharps Eden Ale as a regular plus two guests. Highly recommended!

We went to The Mucky Pup for the first time last night. We intended to play pool for an hour or so and then move on, but stayed as late as the last tube allowed! The staff were very friendly, the jukebox had a great selection of free tunes (The Smiths, The Pixies, The Raconteurs)and there was a really laid-back and "un-Londony" atmosphere about the place. Our friends were all equally impressed. We will be back for a Sunday Roast soon!
