The Talbot Head, Rochdale

Currently selling real ale. Choice of Cocker Hoop and Hobgoblin in early Feb. The Cocker Hoop was on good form and reasonably priced.

The Merry Monk, Rochdale

Basic, old fashioned local. No food except on darts and quiz nights. Full range of Hydes beers plus normally a guest from a local micro. The landlord knows how to serve a good pint. Handy for football/rugby ground and Rochdale cricket, squash & lacrosse club.
