The Who'd A Thought It, Glastonbury

Really liked this pub.

On offer were Palmer's (new to me), in 3 different varieties.Cider served, and Guinness and lagers.

Although I didn't eat, the food seemed to be great.

Good background music (80's, when I visited).

Freddy the dog was a dreamer, really friendly (unt mein host). Schnauzer (spelling?).

Jonathon was great behind the bar, and is well thought of by other bar staff, locally. Although I didn't get the chance to see, apparently he excels at magic, and would I'm sure do a good trick for you if you ask him nicely.

Cheers, big fella.

The Beckets Inn, Glastonbury

Maybe I missed something here. The landlady was a little like Jo Brand (spelling?), but the beer seemed ok. I was told it was a good place to hang-out, but it all seemed very dull when I visited...perhaps bad timing.

Bar had beer and ciders. Nothing especially wrong with the place, but on the day I visited, nothing especially right, either.

The Mitre, Glastonbury

Butcombe, Doombar and Smiths. Various lagers and 3 ciders.

Friendly local pub.

Food was good, I had ham, egg and chips, and it was huge. Good VFM.

Staff were polite and efficient.

If you want to briefly get away from the _magic_ of Glastonbury, this is the place to see the _normal_ regulars.

Recommend it.

The King William Inn, Glastonbury

Mostly lager, some cider. One local beer.

Has a large skittles alley, and is well placed in the centre of town. Looks to have live music on Saturday night's.

Friendly staff. Piped music was soul music.

Not a bad pub.
