Great pub with a really friendly staff and landlady. Cats, too! saw a good band there as well. Beer is good and reasonably proced. Well worth a visit.

Three of us had Christmas Day lunch here, and I kid you not, it was the best meal out I have ever experienced. I have eaten here many times, but this was absolutely phenomenally wonderful.
Everything was as near perfect as is possible.
I congratulate all involved in the production and service of this very special meal.
(The beer was very good too!)

Great little pub right in the town centre. Does a roaring food trade with a Sunday Carvery and good real ales. The food is consistently good and reasonably priced.
As mentioned by someone else the Guinness is indeed a bit pricey but nonetheless worth a night out.
They have mostly good bands on Saturday nights, playing Blues, Blues/Rock and occasionally other styles too. Some of the bands are spectacular for pub bands.
Gets a little cramped when it's a busy night but the staff are pretty quick at getting everyone served.
The have a pool table, skittle alley and a nice little beer garden (south west facing which is great).
