The Kings Arms, Leaves Green

The beer has always run out - I mean always, I challenge you to go in there and be able to choose a cask ale that's on - and because they don't sell much (it's three quid a pint) the quality is poor.

Yep ref the other comment on locals. They're right arrogant idiots.

The Greyhound, Keston

Ignore the out of date ratings. The Greyhound is a great pub - the beer is well kept and guest ales are a pleasure. Notably, when we visited last night (a Wednseday) it was heaving - surely a good sign for any pub mid-week.

And whe we called in on Sunday they had cheese and Sausages on the bar. Marvellous. Thoroughly recommended. Nice little bistro next door too.

The Melville Inn, Lasswade

Agreed - it's not worth the effort

The Melville Inn, Lasswade

Avoid at all costs!

We waited an hour and a half for a completely messed up food order. They eventually managed the starters - terrible food cooked by a bunch of sixteen year olds in a microwave. The mains didn't make it and we had to get a refund.

The Manager? Couldn't manage a bath tub. Don't bother wasting your money here - go to Dobbies over the road.
