We went to this pub on Friday evening and had a great time, what a lovely country pub, the main bar was busy so we went to the other bar/restaurant and sat by an open fire. The bar staff were very friendly - and we just pointed to out drinks and the lady brought them over, we ordered some food which was piled onto the plate and tasted great and a good price too.
They had a live band on which was nice to listen too and the pub had a great atmosphere, even though its a locals pub we did not feel made unwelcome as we walked in like some locals pubs.
Will be going back there again.

Very cosy little pub that I throughly enjoyed a brief visit.
Biggin Hill always seems like an historical spot to stop off at and its not got a lot of pubs in the area but thsi one does seem to be making an effort.
Works well on a crisp early Autumn evening

Great pub run by a landlord that seems to have really endeared himself to the locals with his amazing memory for facts and good humour. Its in such a pretty spot too with a huge garden.

I know the new owners of this now family run pub and since taking over in late September '10 they have certainly turned the place around and it is well worth a visit! The pub is has been completely redecorated and has 2 log fires constantly going, there is a cosy 'living room' area at the front out the pub and also a small restaurant type area at the rear.
There is an ever-changing menu displayed throughout the pub on chalkboards and the food is superb, they promote this pub as a 'pub that serves food not a restaurant'. Sunday lunches are v.reasonably priced @ £7.95 and the place is always busy therefore, probably best to ring and book a table to avoid disappointment. They do all types of private functions: wakes, birthdays, wedding breakfast/buffets, ring to find out!
There is a large garden area at the rear which includes a play area for children and in the Summer they have big plans for an outside bar/barbeque for a real family day out!
All you dog walkers are welcome to bring your dogs (front bar only) and children are also welcome. There is still some refining to do but you can certainly see John (the landlord) is certainly doing everything possible to make sure you visit is enjoyable and you will return! And they have regular live bands! They also have a Facebook page.
