Our locally so regular "pie eaters". This is a fantastic pie pub. Always enjoyed the regular menu pie; steak and guiness, steak and kidney, chicken and mushoom but the new additions of chicken, ham hock and mushroom as well as lamb and goats cheese are fantastic. Huge portions, pies stuffed with big chunks of meat, and a great selection of vegetables. Great value for money.

Went to this pub for the first time midday today for a meal with my wife. First impressions, a nicely laid out pub, plenty of character. Couple of local (Westerham) beers and a Timothy Taylor one on tap in the bar we were in.
The menu was a big surprise! Much larger choice of meals than expected for a country pub. Better than many restaurants.
We went for the steak and kidney pudding, mash and veg.
From previous experience of pubs in this area, I expected a tiny pub with little meat. Instant mash and not much veg. What a lovely surprise when the meal came up! Massive puds crammed full of meat. Some of the best home made mash I have tasted and a wide variety of veg, far more than we could eat. For average pub prices this was a feast indeed.
I had a pint if Westerham British Bulldog. Without a doubt, best pint I have had in west Kent!
I was a little dubious of trying this pub, but am very glad I did. Certainly we will be going back again. I do not know about night time, but, apart from one person with a mobile, which you get everywhere now, it was a nice quiet environment with plesant piped music. Top rating from me.

We went to this pub on Friday evening and had a great time, what a lovely country pub, the main bar was busy so we went to the other bar/restaurant and sat by an open fire. The bar staff were very friendly - and we just pointed to out drinks and the lady brought them over, we ordered some food which was piled onto the plate and tasted great and a good price too.
They had a live band on which was nice to listen too and the pub had a great atmosphere, even though its a locals pub we did not feel made unwelcome as we walked in like some locals pubs.
Will be going back there again.

Very cosy little pub that I throughly enjoyed a brief visit.
Biggin Hill always seems like an historical spot to stop off at and its not got a lot of pubs in the area but thsi one does seem to be making an effort.
Works well on a crisp early Autumn evening
