The Royal Portland Arms, Portland

Basic locals. Pub that welcomes visitors in a friendly
manner regular change of ales, when I visited there was 'wells eagle' and 'tom brown' on tap straight from the barrel behind the bar, both in very good condition, both at a good price of 2.80 a pint compared to the cove inn at 3.20

The Coach and Horses, Harvington

A good locals pub, friendly to visitors, two main indoor areas - a good basic bar and a homely lounge area, food was good with a changing specials board, good pint of Everards Tiger, friendly bar staff.

About a miles walk from the Harvington Lock / dry dock on the river Avon

Bridge Inn, Offenham

We hadn't moored up here since the he floods of 2007, which have a lot to answer for, this is still a great pub with two main inside areas, bar with pool table and separate dining area.

In pre flood time this used to have an 'olde world' charm, but the necessary referb has taken on a modern bistro dining area, very well finished and clean.

The beer was brewed for the pub by Wye Valley, good clean tasty pint. Food was good quality and reasonably priced and all the staff encountered were friendly.

Great location against the bank of the Avon, however the outside benching and garden area could do with some TLC.

If your in the area its well worth seeking out

The Royal, Silverdale

Stayed here over a weekend, on arrival received a very warm welcome.

The pub is very large with two main areas, a bar and lounge with two eating areas. The staff were excellent and coped well with a busy Friday night with a quiz in the bar and a couple of groups of ladies on a good night out. Saturday night not so busy but still had a great atmosphere.

The pub caterers for the local community and frequented by friendly locals. There were two ales on, both in good condition, the food is popular and a good choice and reasonably priced

The room was very clean and tidy, and good breakfast, again the staff were great. Only one negative comment was that the shower could do with being be a bit more powerful.

However will certainly stay again when back in the area as its right by the coast and not far from the local wildlife reserve.

One comment the picture shown is of the Royal Hotel up the road

The Swan, Abbotsbury

Called in on a Friaday lunch time, old fashioned traditional pub with the normal pottery and 'olde worlde' stuff on high level shelves and walls.

It was very quite, but I imagine it livens up in the summer

A decent pint of Theakstons XB.

There was a photo celebrating the Landlord 40 years at the pub, a rarity and who has to be congratulated.

However the food hasn't moved on from the 70's, I had a sausage and onion baguette for 5.50, consisting of what can only be described of 'budget' bread sausage and a sorry salad.

The Harbour Inn, Lyme Regis

Great location, a two bar pub / restaurant with an excellent choice of food, you pay for the location, although the restaurant is at the rear of the building.

the front bar area, also opens out to a veranda, I had a pint of 'otter bitter' it was nothing to write home about but it was OK.

The food was tasty, however, as always check your bill as they tried to charge for an extra pint and glass of wine.

The Nags Head, Lyme Regis

We needed to stay in Lyme Regis and abandon the car for a few days whilst we walked the coast path, using this site we came across this pub. I'm very glad we did.

On arrival we received a very friendly welcome, the room was all we needed, basic, clean and comfortable with ensuite and tele.

The landlord very kindly allowed us to park our car with them for a few days, be warned its a tight parking area.

A choice of three ales, all looked good, we stayed on the 'otter Sark Lark' a very clean and crisp pint which was well poured, something of a rarity in tourist spots.

The pub was an old coaching inn and very much caters for the locals, with a strong darts theme, the atmosphere was very friendly with a good turn out for the quiz night. No food

If your in Lyme give it a visit

The Feathers, Budleigh Salterton

good traditional pub, two bars one with a pool table, plenty of friendly locals which is always a good sign, well kept ales of which there was four to choose from. Good value food

We stayed B&B in a clean tidy comfortable room which was good value at 55, excellent breakfast that set us up for a days walking the coast path

The Reservoir, Charlton Kings

I contacted the manager if we could leave a car early morning on his car park whilst we walked a section of the Cotswold way, very friendly responce and had no problem with the car, its always best to ask.
On entering the one room area, its open plan, clean & tidy, with plenty of space, mainly for dining, with a 'drinking only' area also available.
Normal Green King produce, IPA and Abbots Ale, the first pint of IPA was a bit stale, the manager quickly resolved the problem was very apologetic and produced a good pint. We had a decent light lunch with quick friendly service.
We would use again if passing.

The Old Corner Cupboard, Winchcombe

After a 12 mile walk on the Cotswold Way we fancied a pint, arrived at half two, just missed the food, three ales on offer. The Sharps Doom Bar was spot on.

Locals very friendly. Nice little Pub, will go again if in Winchcombe.
