Fast, friendly service. Perfect olde English pub with well kept ales and outstanding home cooked food at very reasonable prices. Desserts are to die for. Aleintheevening - 4 May 2011 19:34
Delightful pub situated as you come into Winchcombe from Cheltenham side. Visited on a weekday lunchtime on a break to Cleeve Hill and popped in for lunch. Good beer, good food and reasonably priced. Staff and locals seemed very friendly and would definitely recommend. meland - 18 Oct 2010 12:20
After a 12 mile walk on the Cotswold Way we fancied a pint, arrived at half two, just missed the food, three ales on offer. The Sharps Doom Bar was spot on. Locals very friendly. Nice little Pub, will go again if in Winchcombe. bessdog - 6 Mar 2009 12:28
Excellent food, excellent beer and excellent food. Well recommended you take a visit here. Four real ale's were on tap and all were top quality. ICTGringo - 15 Aug 2007 16:25
You enter into a small room with pleasant surroundings including 2 of the corner cupboards that gave the pub its name. Off this are 2 more romms, 1 dark when we called, the other forms the bar area beside the restaurant and has a wall that looks as though it has come from the long torn down abbey. Serves well kept local Stanway ale plus Greene King and Hook Norton and a choice of wines available by the glass. The restaurant has a standard looking menu but then 2 blackboards arrive with the specials, with fish specials priced around £10 offers good value. For dessert try the meringue roulade - a swiss roll made with meringue instead of sponge lout_from_the_lane - 29 Mar 2005 14:20
