I do find the recent comments about this pub laughable. It's obviously some orchestrated marketing campaign. As such I shall just disregard them. I liked the sound of the peasant evening though!
Anyway apart from the desperate need to advertise, this is a good pub for beer. You can always get a good pint here. Good Atmosphere. I don't eat pub grub so can not comment on the nosh.

News Flash. This pub is no longer owned by Harry. Let's hope the new owners preserve it's unique qualities. Let us pray to Bacchus the god of drink that it doesn't turn into a Harvester type restaurant.

The Wonston Arms, Sutton Scotney
This is an ale drinkers pub. It is owned by Harry and is commonly known as "Harry's". Don't expect anything at all from this pub except a fine selection of ale, and a large selection of local characters.

The Cricketers, Farncombe
Good Beer, decent pub, seemed to be buzzing. Staff very friendly and efficient.
Went to the pub quiz (Monday 9pm) and enjoyed it. Good general knowledge questions and not much TV and music rubbish that you get at other quizes.
I never comment on food, as I believe pubs are for drinking in. This obsession with food has to stop. Concentrate on booze and atmosphere and your pub will do OK.
DRINK!
