Fantastic news(bit old now!) The Wonnie is back up and sprinting. Matthew Todd is the new Owner - Landlord. Back even better than ever, total overhaul, tip top, mostly evening opening times, longer at the weekends.

Good news; The Wonston may be saved, at my last Thursday visit news was out that it is being bought to be kept as a pub!
Rumours of the pub's demise were premature and a last minute saviour has emerged.
The closure scheduled for the 1st Feb. has been revoked and the pub is operating as normal whilst matters are finalised.
Fingers crossed, watch this space.

The beer is in good condition. The place needs a 'tidy up'. When I visited it was 'For Sale', never good seeing signs like that on a pub. Will it survive?............I fear 'owner greed' and the current market for country pubs says NO.....Ho Hum, another pub will bite the dust.

Yes The Wonston Arms is up for sale, but we are looking to but it as a community! There is a public meeting Thursday 14th July to see what interest there is in buying it as a community to keep this great pub going!! Who's interested?? Lisa

It absolutely breaks my heart to report that the 'Wonny' is up for sale. It appears that its long history as a boozer may be coming to an end as it seems most of the interest is in making it a residential property. My 2nd home for 17 amazing, event filled years, if I could afford it I would buy it. Anyone out there looking for a proper, real ale serving, drinkers, village boozer?
