The Hermits Cave, Camberwell

legendary pub. really good atmosphere-crowd reflects the up and coming nature of the area. good selection of ales/lagers/ciders and they show footy now which is great.

The Pennsylvanian, Rickmansworth

ahh the pennsylvannia. booze is dirt cheap-especially on mondays and the "beat the barman" challenge (if you win the toss of a coin your round is doubled!). I used to go here whilst I was in sixth form and thought it was great, i guess i had some good times there. Looking back this place is a hole and really smells (this is true-the toilets overflowed and started leaking through the ceiling into the bar area once). The beer and burger for a fiver is a plus. but at the end of the day know what to expect from a wetherspoons. pretty dry atmosphere.

The Sportsman, Croxley Green

Love the eccentricity of the sportsman which sets it apart from the rest of the local pubs. Brilliant beer. Also one of the only local pubs which doesnt attract any chav kids. Often go for a drink here with my old man. Its refreshing to be in a pub with individuality. Also the annual beer festival is definately worth popping along to.

The Artichoke, Croxley Green

One of my favoutite pubs. recently noticed the jukebox, clean, good beer and live music. good laugh on a saturday night. However there can be a lot of rabble getting pissed up here before they hit the bars and clubs of watford. This is the only thing that spoils it a bit for me. However its brilliant for sitting on the green with a pint on summer afternoons/evenings and lapping up the atmosphere.

The Joiners Arms, Denmark Hill

pretty solid, down to earth south london boozer. good selection of real ales, a bonus as this seems a rarity in Camberwell. Always watch football here (but there is a huge bloody pillar slap band in front of the screen)- the crowd during a match is friendly and laid back. You'd have never have guessed this by the amount of south london brickys and mix of punters.
when i was in there once a bar brawl almost kicked off, but it was two pissed up regulars who were 60 odd so it was just funny! This has turned out to be my favourite pub in camberwell-good for a simple night down the boozer.
