The White Hart, Claygate

The transition to SN and new owners seems to have gone well. Masterbrew, Spitfire and Early Bird were on offer when popped in recently. It looks like business as usual at the White Hart.

The Wild Duck, Marden

The Wild Duck is now open for business after a refurbishment - nicely done without taking away any character. The pub is open all day seven days a week as is the restaurant. Had two ales on when visited - Adnams Bitter and Youngs. Plenty of people eating so food must be good. A promising start.

The Lord Raglan, Staplehurst

A great country pub. Normally Harveys and Goachers available plus a guest ale - always been in fine fettle when I've been in the pub. Food is obviously good as the restaurant area appears to be very busy in the evenings.

The Peacock, Goudhurst

A good local pub usually selling the full range of Shepherd Neame ales; now also offering the new brews coming from the micro-brewery when available. There has always been a friendly atmosphere when I've visited the pub. Nice garden for the summer months.

The Halfway House, Brenchley

The only way to descibe this pub is as "a beer drinker's paradise"! Great range of ales all in good nick, friendly staff and clientele, pleasant atmosphere - a real pub of which there are very few remaining.

Elm Tree, Paddock Wood

A new landlord has recently arrived so hopefully this pub will take a turn for the better. Only Masterbrew available when visited.

The White Hart, Claygate

The landlord is retiring and the pub has been sold to Shepherd Neame. Time will tell what this means for this very pleasant pub.

The Unicorn, Marden

Good local pub where you can get a decent pint of Harveys or Shepherd Neames - guest beers also available. Very friendly bar staff. Live music on some weekends which reates a great atmosphere.

The Wild Duck, Marden

Under new management and going in the right direction. Good food - a carvery has just been introduced. Serves a very decent pint of Adnams (bitter or Broadside) in a friendly atmosphere. Closed on Tuesdays.
