Changed hands at least twice since my last review, this out-of-the-way place has now reverted to a simpler pub plus dining room format. Had a reasonable pint of Master Brew, with Broadside also being available (and usually Youngs as well).

Oh dear. Youngs and Adnams real ales. Both very, very average. I doubt that anyone in the pub has any experience of what a real ale tastes like. Wine was supplied by the Beer Seller and tasted like it was a job lot no one else wanted. Food was pretty average. Loads more pubs in the area that care about the customer.

The Wild Duck is now open for business after a refurbishment - nicely done without taking away any character. The pub is open all day seven days a week as is the restaurant. Had two ales on when visited - Adnams Bitter and Youngs. Plenty of people eating so food must be good. A promising start.

The pub has recently closed for refurbishment and is due to re-open shortly under new management. Further reports to follow.
