Lovely pub. Had a realy relaxed time having a meal there, and the kids were made to feel special. Too cold for them to go out and play in the garden, but will definaly be back when its warmer - if not sooner! Nice pint of Spitfire!

WE VISITED THIS PUB TODAY FOR SUNDAY LUNCH. THE NEW LANDLORD TOOK OVER THIS WEEK, HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING.
THE STAFF WERE VERY PLEASANT AND POLITE. THERE WAS A VERY RELAXED ATMOSPHERE, GOOD ALE AND EXCELLENT FOOD. WE WILL BE SURE TO GO BACK SOON.

Since the Sheps acquisition, the main bar has been redecorated but whilst it is lighter it seems more nondescript. Only Spitfire and MasterBrew on, and the loss of Goachers still rankles. Currently, it seems like a missed opportunity and my rating is lower than it was before, but I hope that the first year of the 'new regime' is a blip which will be overcome.

Have just been to the White Hart today,
I was first put off by the poor decor, there is no character, and the original victorian features have been butchered, its an abortion. it looks more like a Kebab take away stall than a pub. There was the the token garden implement hanging, and a couple of photos of hop pickers..the usual eBay specials.
We had the unfortunuate view of lunching there....boy, was that a mistake.
The starters were slimey Pate, with a cumberland goo, and there famed penicillin (moudy) bread, not this isnt a wind up i promice you.
The mains were, Fillet of Seagull (meant to be pheasant) with a packaged Bookers Bacon, and a crushed new potato disaster.
It left me thinking Maybe i should of taken one of those implements on the wall to the chef.
And this was £70 pounds wasted.
Definitly one to be avoided

The transition to SN and new owners seems to have gone well. Masterbrew, Spitfire and Early Bird were on offer when popped in recently. It looks like business as usual at the White Hart.
